Pommé has a brownish beige rind and a cream-coloured paste that is firm yet supple. It features fresh milk aromas and lactic flavours with a fruity finish.
The name comes from the fact that the cheese is washed with apple juice during the maturing process.
The first cheeses made by Les fromages du Verger were introduced in 2008, one year after Brigitte and Michel Guérin acquired an apple orchard on a mountain in St-Joseph-du-Lac.
